PUBG Mobile Japan League (PMJL) Season 1 Format and Invited teams

PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular battle royal game in the world and the Esport scenario is evolving and has seen substantial growth. 

The spectacular success of the title has forced people to take mobile gaming seriously. There has been an unprecedented growth in mobile gaming titles in terms of both revenue and download in the last year and a half.

While the development of this title continues, PUBG Mobile, prize money is increasing with each passing tournament. The recently concluded PUBG Mobile Global Championship had a prize pool of over $ 2 million.<

 The latest tournament to join the fray is the PUBG Mobile Japan League (PMJL). The tournament has a huge prize pool of $ 2.8 million (300 million yen), the largest in Japan.

The tournament will be divided into two phases, the first phase ending on 13 February, with 16 invited Japanese teams competing for the final prize.

The teams will compete in the league play over a period of 24 days and will compete in a total of 50 matches in a single phase. The remaining 50 matches will be played in the second phase of the tournament.

The top 14 teams from the tournament will qualify for the PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 2 (PMJL: S2), while the remaining two will be again in the PUBG Mobile Challenge League Season 2 (PMCL: S2).
